LabNavigator Basics

LabNavigator Tabs

SENSOR TAB

The Sensor tab allows you to see current data in real time for up to 6 sensors and set the collection and viewing parameters. From this screen you can change data collection parameters (single point, time-based, event-based, etc.), change sensor title, and much more.

Collecting Data

  •  Single-point data collection
  •  Time-based data collection
  •  Event-based data collection
  •  Full Spectrum
  •  Drop collection with NavAutoDrop

GRAPH TAB

The Graph tab displays your collected data in a graph, in real time or after you have finished collecting and you need to complete an analysis. If using a time-based measurement , you will be able to watch your data graph in real-time. In addition, your spectrophotometer data will be plotted in real time for analysis in color.

Analysis Features

  •  Perform linear and curve fits
  •  Draw a prediction before collecting data
  •  Display two graphs at once
  •  Display a tangent line on the graph
  •  1st & 2nd derivative
  •  Multiple log and algebraic functions
  •  Trigonometric functions
  •  Autoscale
  •  Integral function
  •  Statistics
  •  Delta
  •  FFT
  •  Peak integration
  •  Model
  •  Interpolate
  •  Baseline adjustment

TABLE TAB

The Table Tab displays your collected data in a table format in real time or after you have finished collecting and you need to complete an analysis.

After collection, you can export this data to your thumb drive and display your data in Forston Labs' NavPilot software, which is provided with every LabNavigator. From NavPilot you can continue your analysis or export the data directly to excel.

METHODS TAB

The Method Tab provides you a location to review your methods, testing procedure or other ‘user created’ instruction. This information can be reviewed before, during and after data collection. Create your method with the NavCoPilot software from Forston Labs, which is provided with every LabNavigator.

NOTES TAB

The Notes Tab provides you a location to record observations or ‘notes’ while you are collecting data or after you have completed your data collection. Using this screen during data collection will not effect data collection, so note away!

After you have completed your measurement run, the note file will be exported with your data to your thumb drive. You can display your notes with your data in NavPilot or export it all to excel.
